Thin models

I agree with the Spanish government about banning fashion models that are too thin because it's so dangerous & they might have anorexia in the future, after that they will die. That message is going to help young girls to open their eyes about the danger that is surrounding them.

What triggered the ban?
The ban on "skinny" models performing in shows, was instituted by fashion show organizers in Madrid after a model died during a show in South America last month.

What's BMI?

Height to weight ratio.

What BMI should a model have to be allowed to participate in fashion parades in Spain?
Above 18 to participate in shows.
What's the average height, weight and BMI of a runway model?
The average runway model is estimated to be 5 feet 9 inches tall and to weigh in at 110 lbs.
What are the arguments for and against?
Naomi Campbell is one of the healthiest, buff- looking models out there," contributing ABC fashion correspondent Katrina Szish said. "People have said that she woulnd't be allowed on the runway even she wouldn't be in that range."
"Some people that look incredibly healthy, really aren't and vice-versa," Szish added. "It's something you can't quantify."......

Check the meanings of gaunt, emaciated and wan. You can find many dictionalries on the internet (just wirte dictionary into Google). One of them is the Merrian-Webster
How can you calculate someone's BMI?
Gaunt: excessively thin and angular.
Emiciated:to waste away physically.
Wan: suggestive of poor health .

Steve Irwin

Steve Irwin is the most funny and weird person I've ever seen . He's so brave working in a zoo with Crocks and snakes . Steve is so energetic and always in fire . I wish that I had visited his zoo before, but now I think that it's empty without his presence.

Carpe Diem

"Carpe Diem" means : "Seize the day", trust little in tomorrow . The gist is that no one should live as fully and well as one can today, not waiting to do so in the future. Living well isn't incompatible with planning for the future . We should'nt waste time on foolish things .
Life is so short that each one of us should spend every minute of our time on important things and especially with our family because no body knows when the candle will turn off .

Lisbeth's podcast

About Lisbeth's podcast , I didn't enjoy it because it was about a lot of countries and she didn't inspire me a lot . If I was in Lisbeth's place I would die, I'd be so tired . But there was intresting information about the weather in Sweden and also about Pearl Harbour.
